Located in the School of Nursing at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia, the Moody Research Lab is led by Dr. Elaine Moody, a registered nurse and associate professor. The research lab focuses on better understanding the experience of health and healthcare for older adults living with complex health and social needs. We use qualitative and quantitative methods, and systematic literature reviews to explore how contextual factors shape the experiences of health and well-being for older people. The work informs strategies to better support older people through patient- and public-engagement, nursing and interprofessional education, integrated knowledge translation with policy makers and health system leaders, and community outreach.
